Welcome back!! I hope you all had a wonderful midterm break!
Senior Infants are continuing to complete literacy activities and games, along with cursive handwriting practice during our station work.
We are always working on our phonics through read and match activities, word mat games, initial/final sound deletion board games… to name but a few! We are currently revising our diagraph sounds sh, ch, qu, and ai and our tricky words as, with, his, they, I and at.
Ask your children if they can come up with some words that have these sounds in them. Maybe they can teach you our class game; where we use a body part to identify sounds at the beginning (head), middle (shoulders) and end (hip) of a three phoneme word.
For example: shout
sh – hands on head
ou – hands on shoulders
t – hands on hip
