Hello Senior Infants! I hope you all had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend! I’ve heard some great things about your Coastline Trail and I received some lovely photos of children taking part! Well done!!

Listen to the story ‘Meerkat Mail’ by Emily Gravett


  • Revise the comprehension strategies ‘Prediction’, ‘Visualisation’ and ‘Making Connections’

·        Discuss the setting of the story of the story – the desert, hot weather, going on holidays, visiting etc.

·        Retell parts of the story using connective language

·        Complete the simple sentence writing prompt cards.

If you have collected the Busy at Maths home/ school links book, please feel free to work away at your child’s own pace. This book can also be accessed through cjfallon online.

·        Complete the pages on Number using Busy at Maths pages 102, 103, and Capacity 115 – 118 . Also available using cjfallon online.

Water Spray/Gun Painting

What you will need:

A dry day!!

Water Gun/ Water Spray Bottle

Diluted poster paint

White A3 Card






Sailing in to Summer worksheet attached in email.


Using a spray bottle or a water gun, dilute some poster paint with water. Attach the A3 page on to an easel outdoors, if you don’t have an easel you could also pin the page on to a tree.

Spray your page with the diluted paint. Have some fun and change paint colours. Finish once you are happy with your art. Leave to dry on the grass.
