Fifth Class Update
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and that you are looking forward to some new working at home tasks. I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of your work, you really have been working hard. On Friday, I read some beautiful Mothers Day Acrostic Poems that you wrote and I have really been enjoying the photos you have been taking for the Photo a Day Project, most recently you have been sharing some pictures of your favourite books!
Each morning, you will receive some work suggestions through Google Classroom, and this week, each of you will have a folder to share any tasks that you complete. If it is easier for you to email them onto me, than please continue to do that. I’m looking forward to all of the submissions this week.
Last week, I shared some links and ideas for activities at home, and here are some updates, in case you need some more for your list!
News: We all love watching news 2day in class, and maybe this week you would like to write and record your own? This could be uploaded to Google Classroom. Just imagine how creative you could be! This is also an excellent way to practice your Recount skills!
Last week, I suggested some Virtual Field Trips. How about a trip to Nasa this week. There are some interesting 360 degree tours of some of their newest space craft available here. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLStC43yAV6zQvFdRe4ch2I8ihBuqTylJf
For PE this week, why not try the 10@10 activities from RTE, available here https://rtejr.rte.ie/10at10/. These are short activities that everyone in the house can get involved in. They work best when they are downloaded.
For more activities for 5th class, have a look at the Padlet link, https://padlet.com/ffarry1/fifthsixth?fbclid=IwAR2X9F3hO9Y2shrSuxjiEHI2JgzzWBqUbqQcbrHojGjdG-tt7fwy7W3g1Uo, which is full of interesting sites, apps and activities across all curriculum areas.
Have a lovely week, and make the most of this lovely Spring weather while it lasts.
