Sharing Stories

Hi Everyone,

Recently we have been looking at the theme of stories across many subjects. Let us fill you in on what we’ve been doing.

In English, using the IPads, we worked on writing our own picture stories, using stop motion, We worked in pairs to create unique stories, drawing an original picture and then slowly adding small changes while taking pictures. They turned out amazingly, we had such fun watching them all on the whiteboard.

Mar chuid don ghaeilge, Léigh muid scéal faoi clan atá mí-shásta le béile I bialann nua Iodálach. Bhain muid an úsáid as na frásaí  “Tá mé lag leis an ocras!” agus “Tá mé ag tnúth go mór leis!”. Thaitin an focal “Uafásach” go mór linn agus a bhí muid ag caint faoin bia.

We thoroughly enjoyed listening to Rev.Lesley on Wednesday telling her story about the witch. We loved her costume too. We have been learning about the Old Testament in RE and reading some of the stories in class.

On Thursday, we went to Dollymount to carry out a beach clean. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed it. We managed to collect so much litter, it is such a pity though that some people choose not to take their rubbish home with them. We repurposed some sticks and natural waste while we were there and dug some tunnels and played a game of cricket.

On Friday, we treated ourselves to a little Halloween party and some fun to celebrate our Mid Term Break. We chilled out for a while and watched the movie, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory. We all really enjoyed it, but it was funny that we managed to have more sweets for our lunch on Friday that Charlie saw in the whole factory!

We are really looking forward to our mid term break and having a well deserved break from all the hard work.

Here are some photos we took on the beach.
