We had a fantastic time this week on Wednesday, walking to St. Annes and back to compete in a 400m race against other schools. All of the children competed superbly and in very tough, mucky conditions! Thank so much to parents for helping out. We also had a fab mascot, thanks Bailey!
In literacy we have been studying procedural writing and the children wrote instructions on how to play their favourite game. They then brought them into class and each followed the procedures and played together. Some children even invented their own games and rules!
In numeracy one of our topics has been symmetry and we painted a variety of symmetrical shapes.
We have been investigating the Stone Age and researched facts about their food, clothes, homes, weapons and animals. The children did lovely sketches of Stone Age animals.
