Our second week back at school involved a cat and some wolves! (We couldn’t decide which novel to read)
We eventually settled on our class novel The Wolves of Willoughby Chase by Joan Aiken.
In our story Bonnie is waiting for her cousin Sylvia to arrive. Their new governess Miss Slighcarp arrives first. So far, she is not the kindest person and we have predicted that she may have something to hide. Our story is set in England a long time ago where the whole country is overrun with wolves.
Using wolves as a stimulus, we set about creating our own pictures of wolves using pastels on white and black paper. I have to say 4th Class are very creative. Some children did very straight forward pictures and others went down a more abstract route.
