Last Wednesday in third class the girls and boys were investigating which material would make the best tea bag. They tested cloth, j-cloth, tissue, paper, tin foil and crepe paper by placing tea leaves on their material and tying the material with ribbon.
We then put our tea bags into water to see which tea bag was the best. We tested the tea bags on the following criteria
1. Did it turn the water brown?
2. Did the tea bag stay in tact? – The tea bag didn’t fall apart once it went into the water.
We concluded that the j-cloth made the best tea bag.
Also, we tried a tea bag in cold, warm and boiling water to see the different effect it has on the tea bag.
