It’s a Gruffalo!

As mentioned in a previous post, we were listening to the story ‘The Gruffalo’ in Senior Infants recently. We looked at the lovely illustrations carefully and discussed all of the interesting ways in which the Gruffalo was described.

We then decided to create our very own Gruffalos! Click here for a link to the song we listened to as we made our Gruffalos to reinforce what they look like.

We painted a paper plate brown for his face and cut out ears, tusks, teeth and eyes to stick onto it. We coloured his eyes orange just like in the story and even added a green dot for the poisonous wart at the end of his nose!! Here are some pictures of the finished results!
