Visualising

This year in English we are learning about different comprehension strategies. So far we have learned about visualising, making connections and predicting.

We have started reading the book ‘The Amazing Story of Aldolphus Tips’ by Michael Morpugo. We wanted to use some of the comprehension strategies that we had been learning about. We decided to try visualising first. Everyone imagined what Aldophus Tips, the cat in the book,  looks like. We then drew a picture of the image of the cat that we had in our minds. We used our pencil to create light and dark shades. Some of us even smudged the pencil with our fingers.

Here is a picture of our cats.
