Sports Day 2019

Event-SportsDay.jpg

Dear fellow parents,

On Friday June 21st the Greenlanes Sports Day will take place. As with previous years, support from parents will be required to ensure the event runs smoothly, with maximum enjoyment for the children.

We are seeking parent volunteers to assist on the day.

Once again, the event will be run on an “Olympic” theme, and each child will be on a team (representing a country), every child who partakes in an event will score points for their team/country. Each team/country will be composed of children from junior infants all the way up to sixth class. As an entirely optional extra this year for kids, could they please wear any piece of clothing with a colour of their designated country on the day – but there’s no need to purchase anything.

As with last year it is planned to run one larger session, with multiple events, rather than splitting the day into a junior and senior event. With over 270 energetic children out on the pitch, this will be a very busy sports day, and for it to be a success we really need your help.

If you are free and willing to help on the morning of Friday June 21, PLEASE contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
